BDCA is pleased to announce the release of new educational materials designed to raise awareness about flood risks through interactive and engaging learning. The materials are elaborated within LocAll4Flood project “Flash flood risk prevention & resilience in the Mediterranean area through an Integrated Multi-stakeholder Governance Model, gathering prevention, adaptation and mitigation solutions”.
Our new educational materials are now available:
⧉ Giant Puzzle
🎲 Print & Play Board Game (including a 🎓 High School Version)
These interactive tools transform complex flood risk concepts into practical, hands-on learning experiences. Participants discover how floods occur, why certain Mediterranean regions are particularly vulnerable to flash floods, and what prevention and preparedness actions can help reduce risks and impacts.
By encouraging play, collaboration and problem-solving, the materials support critical thinking and help build a culture of preparedness and resilience across all age groups.
Developed for regions exposed to flash floods, these materials are suitable for a wide range of users, including:
🏫 Primary and secondary schools
🎓 Universities and training centres
🏛️ Local authorities and civil protection teams
🌍 NGOs, community organisations, and educators
👥 Citizens and local communities
These tools can be easily integrated into classrooms, workshops, training sessions, and community awareness activities.
BDCA remains committed to strengthening flood risk awareness and supporting communities in becoming better informed, prepared, and resilient.
